1. Information this notice covers
This notice applies to information submitted through thefunders.ca and connected Funders Network experiences, including public property-report tools, approved Realtor workspaces, Open House registration, buyer financing-report requests, and communications with The Funders Team.
2. Information that may be collected
Depending on the service used, information may include:
- name, email address, telephone number, and communication preferences;
- property, listing, MLS, and campaign information;
- report requests, QR scans, buyer engagement signals, and high-level workflow milestones;
- information voluntarily provided when requesting a financing review; and
- technical information such as browser/device information, pages visited, and security or fraud-prevention logs.
Do not enter credit reports, banking details, tax records, pay stubs, or other sensitive documents into public website forms unless The Funders Team provides a separate secure document process.
3. How information may be used
Information may be used to provide a requested property financing scenario, respond to an inquiry, arrange a strategy or financing review, operate the Funders Network workspace, improve services, maintain security, meet legal or regulatory obligations, and communicate where consent or another lawful basis applies.
4. Realtor and Funders Team information boundaries
The Funders Network is designed to show Realtors high-level buyer engagement and high-level Funders file updates. It is not intended to give Realtors access to buyer income, debt, credit, bank statements, tax documents, lender notes, underwriting notes, or actual funded amount.
5. Service providers and disclosures
The Funders may use service providers to host websites and applications, manage customer relationships, deliver communications, support reporting, maintain security, and operate internal workflows. Information may also be shared where required by law, with professional advisers, or with lenders and other parties when a buyer has requested or authorized a financing process.
The Funders does not intend to sell personal information. Any disclosure of personal information should be limited to the purpose for which it was collected or otherwise permitted by law.
6. Property reports and links
Property financing reports are educational scenarios. Treat report links as private and do not post, forward, or share a buyer-specific report publicly without appropriate permission. A report is not a mortgage approval, pre-approval, qualification, or lender commitment.
7. Marketing communications
Where consent is required, marketing communications should be sent only after the appropriate consent has been obtained. Consent may be withdrawn using an unsubscribe option or by contacting The Funders Team, subject to legal and operational requirements.
8. Access, correction, and questions
To ask about personal information, request access or correction, or withdraw a communication consent, contact The Funders Team at info@thefunders.ca. A final reviewed policy should identify the appropriate privacy contact and response process.
9. Changes to this notice
This notice may be updated as services, technology, legal requirements, and Funders Network workflows evolve. The final published policy should include an effective date and change-management process.
